This is the academic portion of a16 hour course for annual Use of Force refresher and recertification for Ministry Provincial Officers. It is generic in nature as it would apply to all Ministries and not just the V.E.E.U. branch of the M.O.E.C.C.
While there are videos showing techniques in this online course, there is still a "hands on" in class portion to be completed prior to full certification due to the higher level of competency required.
A certificate showing completion of this portion is available upon successful completion of the online materials.

This is mandatory training every year for frontline Ministry Provincial Officers.
Course Outline
Q. Does this cover physical skills?
A. No, only the theory behind them. There are videos showing techniques included for visual learners and to refresh officer's memories on the techniques taught in a hands on program.
Q. Is there a certificate upon completion of this program?
A. Yes. There is one issued at the end of this program for ACADEMICS ONLY related to the use of force. There is still a hands on, one day, in class program to complete in order to practice and prove competency in all the physical skills related to disengagement, P.P.E. tools, handcuffs etc as well as arrest sequences.
