Q. How do I get help if I don’t understand something on the course?
A. While we do encourage you to research information and materials yourself, if you require clarification on assignments or do not understand the materials or how they are applied, contact our Help Desk at:
Info.BurgessAndAssoc@gmail.com or by clicking on the tab “Contact Us.”
Q. When is help available to me?
A. Our offices and Help Desk are open from 08.30 – 16.30 Ontario time, Monday to Friday. If you email us, you will get a response within a few hours from receipt of the email once we put you into touch with the course instructor.
Q. Is this certificate/accreditation recognized in Ontario?
A. We are official Vendors of Record for the Ontario government to train Provincial Offences Officers and any agency who is funded or partially funded by the government. Lesson plans and materials are vetted and approved by each Ministry based on its needs.
Credibility and due diligence is the cornerstone for any training accreditation, not who does or does not “recognize” the certificate. An employer can choose to recognize one training provider and not another, it is their choice. If your course certification is questioned, simply have the employer contact us for assistance in the due diligence process in support of your training.
NOTE: Materials are copyright to M.D. Burgess And Associates Inc. We are an ISO 9001 registered company for training security guard to Canadian General Standards Board standards. Manuals and materials are also registered in the National Archive of Ottawa under ISBO numbers.
When you choose to register, you will be directed to the checkout page. Once your payment has been received, you will receive an email with your course login information.
Burgess and Associates are approved and licensed Vendors of Record (V.O.R.) for the Government of Ontario to train M.L.E.O.s (Municipal Law Enforcement Officers) and P.O.O.s (Provincial Offences Officers) for all Ministries and Provincially funded agencies that use the V.O.R. system to obtain training for their officers.
The course is designed and developed by a Superior Court Recognized “Subject Matter Expert” in the training of Municipal Bylaw and Enforcement Officers, Provincial Offences Officers, Police and Special Constables in Ontario. Copies of transcripts from these court credentials are available upon request.
