About Our Ontario Courses

Burgess And Associates offers Security Guard certification training in the use of force including handcuffing, basic licensing programs via our partners, Loss Prevention Officer certification, “institutional” security (hospitals and healthcare facilities). We also provide training for Security Supervisors and Dispatchers.

We are a Canadian General Standards Board approved (ISO 9001) company for training security guards who are deployed to Federally owned properties.

Our Bylaw courses (Parking Enforcement, Animal Control and General Services Enforcement Officers) have been fully vetted and are being offered online with Ontario specific content.

Parking certificates are co-issued with the Ontario Traffic Council. Bylaw/Provincial Officer certification is done via our Vendor of Record agreement with the Provincial government.

Bylaw and Provincial Officer training is directed specifically to Municipal employees, private guards and contractors albeit anyone can take these courses, there are no pre-requisites to taking any course.

Healthcare programs in Violence Prevention, Conflict Avoidance, and Violent Patient restraint certification is also available. Certification is available in the Pinel Restraint system as well as instructor certification.
